The humans

Like most founders, my path has not been linear.
It’s 2016. I had recently been named one of Europe’s 30 under 30 in media, but rather than celebrating, I looked at the path ahead and thought: What am I doing? The corporate world had sucked the life out of me- I was depressed, burned out, and jaded. I’d learned the ropes hard and fast, producing nearly every deliverable under the sun. But I stood there wondering: what is it all for?
That was the real beginning of my path. Eight years later, I sit writing my answer: to spark a paradigm shift where we return to ourselves as part of nature. To remember how entangled, messy, and magical life really is -and to see ourselves as co-creators in it.
Rather than trying to fix the problems humanity created, let’s come back to being more human, and let the ripples emanate outward.
During those eight years,I worked with some of the world’s leading businesses, helping them innovate from a place of purpose. What became clear was that it all starts within, whether it’s your own journey or that of a business. A friend said to me yesterday: “You don’t quit a business, you quit a boss.” It all starts with leadership, with an inner belief that another way is possible, with laying the cultural ground where real change can happen. From here, you can innovate products and services that truly serve your purpose. When you start to walk, you can do the talk, you have a story to share, rooted in authenticity.
I went from advertising- making campaigns that were culturally disruptive but often lacked real impact- to purpose consulting, helping drive the ESG agenda and realising that change has to be culturally embodied. Then to innovation, where I discovered we need to design systemically, which led me into living systems and regeneration.
Working in innovation, I’ve seen the journey of so many founders: passionate, but still growing from a place of lack; lack of support, money, skills. We are asked to wear all the hats, wait to get paid, and hope that after three years, we’ve beaten the 9/10 failure rate. Sound fun?
I want to change that by returning to community, by co-creating and building ecosystem brands that lift each other. Drawing from the world-building knowledge of the old system and the wisdom of nature’s emerging one, I’m here to empower the creator in all of us and give a voice to the call.
